West 23rd Street Townhouse
This private residence on West 23rd Street was a gut renovation project and façade restoration for a 7-story, 7,000-square-foot townhouse in the Chelsea district of Manhattan.
Multiple terraces on the penthouse, elevator, private library and catering kitchen support the public spaces.
Our interior work is complemented by a dramatic staircase designed by the artist Kiki Smith.
We inserted a contemporary, mixed-use residential program within a historic typology which includes a double height, glass addition, gallery and event space on the ground floor, and an outdoor sculpture garden.
